mobile industrial hearing testing

We are pleased to announce our new mobile audiometric (hearing) testing service for workplaces across British Columbia. This service helps employers meet provincial occupational health and safety requirements related to workplace noise, ensuring workers exposed to hazardous noise receive regular hearing tests.

Our mobile unit comes directly to your worksite, reducing downtime and making it easy to keep your hearing conservation program up to date.

Why Hearing Testing Is Required

In BC, employers are required to protect workers from harmful noise exposure and provide initial and regular audiometric tests for employees in loud environments. Hearing tests help:

  - Detect early signs of noise‑induced hearing loss.
  - Confirm that hearing protection and noise controls are effective.
  - Support annual testing programs for noise‑exposed workers.
  - Demonstrate compliance with provincial health and safety laws and internal policies.

Our service is designed to support these legal and safety obligations in a simple, convenient way.

What Our Mobile Service Provides

Our mobile hearing testing clinic includes:

  - A compliant, sound‑controlled testing area in a mobile unit.
  - Industrial audiometric testing performed by authorized, properly trained personnel.
  - Baseline and annual hearing tests for noise‑exposed workers.
  - Individual test results and explanations for each worker.
  - Employer reports that can be integrated into your hearing conservation program.
  - Education on the proper use and care of hearing protection.

We work with you to schedule testing in a way that minimizes disruption to production and accommodates shift work where possible.

Designed to Align With BC Noise and Safety Requirements

Our mobile audiometric testing service is built around BC noise and hearing conservation requirements, including:

  - Audiometric testing for workers exposed to noise at or above occupational exposure limits.
  - The use of appropriately trained and authorized audiometric technicians.
  - Testing environments and procedures that follow recognized standards for occupational hearing testing in Canada.
  - Annual re‑testing for noise‑exposed workers to track changes over time.

We can also help you determine which workers need to be in a hearing conservation program and how often they should be tested based on your noise exposure assessments.

How It Works for Your Workplace

1.  Consultation

We review your needs, including the number of workers, shifts, locations, and any existing hearing conservation policies.
2.  On‑site Mobile Clinic Visit

Our mobile unit arrives at your site and sets up in a convenient location, such as a yard or parking area.
3.  Testing Schedule

Workers are booked into short testing appointments throughout the day to minimize downtime.
4.  Results and Follow‑up

Each worker receives an explanation of their results, and the employer receives organized test data for records and program planning. We can also schedule your next annual testing while on-site.

Who This Service Is For

Our mobile audiometric testing is ideal for:

  - Construction, manufacturing, and fabrication shops.
  - Marine, transportation, and logistics operations.
  - Forestry, mining, and resource industries.
  - Municipal and public works departments.
  - Any workplace where workers are regularly exposed to high noise levels.

If you are unsure whether your workers require an annual hearing testing program, we can help you interpret your noise exposure information and determine the next steps.
